Midsummer
2003. The curtain between the visible and the
invisible world is permeable. Augury is favourable.
Guarded by Ivy tendrils, singer Sarah and guitar
player Fabian are bending over the map of the music-moloch
Rock City. Apart from the main streets they mark
their hideout at E-Lane with a compass and draw the
first circle. Anticlockwise. Widdershins – according
to the orbit of the moon. The spirits are invocated.
The journey to the musical aggregation of the power
and the beauty of darkness has begun.
Four years (and some rotating of the
line-up-carousel) later the time has come: The band
had already been able to take a step out of the
shadows and received positive response from media as
well as from listeners when releasing the first EP
“Awake Your Senses”. Now, driven by the high-energy
performance of Thommy (drums) and chriz (bass), they
are capable of evoking the essence of dark
Rock’n’Roll with all their might.. Dark NuMetal
monsters are fanned by the alluring elegance of
gothic melancholy, gloom is coupling with sweaty
up-tempo-ogres by candlelight.
Bonded by a common love for the nightside of things,
weld together by numerous shows and surrounded by a
growing circle of friends, E-Lane are expanding
their musical horizon again in 2007. Darkness shows
different shades of black. Thus the new release
“Encircled” is rounded by remixes from artists like
the TANZWUT-branch K.D.A., the Swiss based
electronic experts BAK XIII, the Italian
indu[bstrial] masters DEFLORE WHISPERS IN THE
SHADOW, the band of ASHLEY DAYOUR, the live-guitar
player of L’ÂME Immortelle. Not to forget LEANDRA,
the blessed pianist, also known as OPHELIA DAX from
German High-flyers JESUS ON EXTASY. For the
mastering E-Lane were able to engage THOMMY HEIN,
who produced and mastered albums by TANZWUT, CORVUS
CORAX and ZERAPHINE in the past, to name but a few…
French mathematician Blaise Pascal stated, the
Universe was a circle with a centre that was
everywhere and an amplitude that was nowhere. E-LANE
on the other hand are the central point of a circle,
that is following the orbit of the starry sky.
Widdershins. Turning left, it slowly enlarges. Its
amplitude might soon be anywhere, where the shadows
start breaking through the daylight. You’d better
prepare. You’re already encircled |
